Welcome to our new website!
At the Artequus Centre we are dedicated to study and practise the art of baroque dressage. Here you can enjoy the high school movements that have their roots in a gone by time where the horse was used in warfare. In those times it was vital for the rider to fully be able to trust his horse in any situation, as the horse could be the reason for his death or survival. The Artequus is one of the few places in the world that guard this tradition and lives to educate and present this truly remarkable cooperation between horse and rider. In this day and age luckily the horses aren’t used in war but we show of their spirit, strength, balance and beauty in our shows, that become the fruit of our labour. You are invited to see, try and take pleasure in a form of riding that is total lightness!
But we don’t only give classes in high school dressage! We know that we aren’t all born masters of equitation so we give classes to beginners aswell. We also accept horses for schooling, do courses and riding holidays, and sometimes we have horses for sale. Don’t hesitate to contact us or drop by if you are interested in our work!
